Courage is defined as strength when facing death, illness, or something that you fear. The first two situations are pretty easy for us to imagine. How about the third?
How many times have you written down someone’s name and number as an emergency contact? How many times has someone used you as an emergency contact?
I spoke about friends last week and this week I want to talk about community. Defined in part as “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”
What does it take for someone to be your friend? Have you ever considered the process you went through from the time you met someone until you thought of them as a friend?
As a person of habit and routine I’ve come to rely on simply working within my patterns. So, when we have a week where there is no newsletter, and I don’t need to write a blog I struggle.
I heard a person say that the study of mankind’s history and nature made him feel insignificant in a good way. I could relate to that statement.
