Background for this lesson is the fact that my grandson, the youngest of the four grandchildren, would get frustrated when he didn’t have anything of his own in Lego Land at my house.
The word love, much like the word hero, is more commonly used in our everyday language than it was a hundred years ago. I love many PBS shows. I love to knit. I love to walk in my neighborhood. I love my family.
Sometimes you hear the lyrics to a song, or read the lines of a card and think, “I can’t top that.” Maybe you wonder how a person was brought to write their words of love and comfort. After all so much of love is about comfort.
I may have mentioned I’m attempting to retire. Attempting because the day before what was to be my last official day the person hired and trained to replace me resigned suddenly.
This week I am beginning what may or may not end up as a series. Lego Lessons may be my next thing. You see, my grandchildren love building and playing with Legos. As a self-proclaimed over zealous grandmother I have embraced their interest. I may have gone a bit over board.
Surely life will get back to normal soon. What does that even mean? I’m not talking about the concept of normal, which is a topic for another day. I’m talking about “soon.”
