There is no shortage of opportunities to pray for and worry about the victims of natural disasters, wars, and pandemics. The stories we hear and pictures we see are heart wrenching. We are thankful not to be in the shoes of those victims.
When we moved to our home we knew there might be some wildlife around us. Behind our house were acres of old growth trees and you felt like you were far away from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia. We have not been disappointed.
There are times in our lives that leave us feeling a bit unsettled. Sad news and unexpected change can bring on a type of mourning, grief over lost people and things in our lives can sneak up on us. And we are left feeling unsettled.
Early on in the planning and development of our personal Lego land it became quite apparent (to me) that unbridled growth like we have grown accustomed to in Northern Virginia would not be practical in Lego land.
It’s that time of year again. And you will likely hear more than one conversation about what some person is giving up for Lent.
All too often we fall into patterns. We basically dial life in. The predictable nature of this approach can be soothing, but it can also clog your creative juices.
