The Deacon’s and I met last night and agreed that at this time we would cancel the formal worship service at the church and I would lead a service online that people could join live or view later.
We decided to hold an abbreviated worship service this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. We are cancelling everything else including Choir, Sunday School, our fellowship time before and after worship, Wednesday night bible study and all other meetings and gatherings
There are many concerns in our region and nation about the Coronavirus known as COVID-19. I am sure you have been watching the news and social media and know this is something we all need to be thinking and praying about and taking precautions to avoid. We don’t want to overreact, but day by day things keep changing in our area and it is best to be prepared.
Starting Sunday, October 27, we want to try something new to begin Church on Sunday.
On our deacon retreat last weekend we spent time exploring the spiritual life and thinking about how our individual spiritual journeys are connected to the community and work of the church.
It was good to be back with you Sunday for Worship and I was happy to see so many faces on such a cold day. I hope you have had an opportunity to begin the New Year Devotional. If you need a copy there are still some left at the church. As we continue to move forward in the new year here’s what’s coming up.
