Inspiration is Contagious series installment #3. We are stronger together. You wouldn’t play baseball all by yourself against a team. Think of how silly you would look pitching then running to catch the ball, then throwing it to no one to try to get the runner out at third, you get the picture. A team is stronger.
Inspiration is Contagious series installment #2. You truly are essential. Okay, so you may not have a job that the government felt had to continue during our stay at home efforts. But you are essential. Maybe you are glad you didn’t have to go into work, or maybe you are unhappy that you did. But you are essential.
This is the first of my May Inspiration is Contagious series. I figure the longer this pandemic drags on the more we need inspiration and some good news. Hang in there with me as I try to provide both. Key word - “try”.
This is the seventh week of my full time telework arrangement. Not that I am counting the days, mind you! I’m fortunate because our company went to a social distancing plan early on. We knew some people had to go to the office and some of us could work remotely.
I remember hearing adults say, guess he or she will just have to learn the hard way. As a kid, we think we have all the answers, and we don’t really want a grown up to tell us how to do every little thing.
Not having an Easter service at the physical church was hard. But our online worship is a clear illustration of how our congregation loves and respects each other and our community. We care enough to be responsible citizens. We make that sacrifice out of love and concern for others.
