The Journey

Linda Soller | Oct 14, 2019

So often just when you think the path is clear ahead you come upon a roadblock. It interrupts or even stops your journey. It may be the loss of a job or a serious illness. It may be something much less threatening, but serious enough to stop your forward progress. The journey you are on in life is not a smooth straight paved road journey, it’s more of an uneven stepping-stone through a muddy field of tall overhanging grasses journey. If you are a Christian, your journey will be just as full of twists and turns as a non-Christian. Regardless, it’s your personal journey.

Faith is a journey. It starts out small and grows. We learn from others and we learn from our mistakes. We practice it well sometimes and not so well at other times. We struggle to forgive and seek forgiveness. Every day our faith is challenged and every day we move toward a stronger more mature faith. Some think they have no further to travel. I fear they are deceiving themselves because we all have so far to go. We strive so hard one day and the next we are lazy. One morning we may ask Jesus to walk with us and the next we may forget to invite Him along. Regardless, He is there on your journey.

Pain, suffering, joy, love, are all part of the human experience. You will slip, you will stand strong, you will cry, and you will laugh. No matter where you go or who you take along, your faith will be the breeze in your face, the blanket that warms you, the walking stick that supports you on the journey.

Have a great week! :o) Linda
