New Here?WHO IS JESUS?
John 3:16, one of the most famous scriptures says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only son. That whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life."
Meeting with the Twelve at Caesarea Philippi, Jesus asked, "Whom say ye that I am?" Simon Peter, the chief Apostle answered, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:15-16). Peter later testified that Jesus "was foreordained before the foundation of the world" (1 Peter 1:20). He was "in the beginning with the Father, and [is] the Firstborn" (D&C 93:21).
Jesus appeared 2000 years ago to set an example of love and forgiveness. He became the HOPE and the bridge to unite us with God. Mankind was separated from God once, and now His son is showing the PATHWAY. Through Jesus we can be united again. At the First Baptist Church of Herndon, we know Jesus and his love lives within us.
Jesus came to carry our weaknesses, our sickness, our pain, so that we can walk in total freedom, peace, power and purpose. He came to rid us of our sins and show the purity of heart.
