Our guest speaker this Sunday will be the Rev. Dr. Kenneth R. Pruitt, who is President of The John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington, often simply referred to as the Leland Seminary.
Before becoming Leland’s president in 2022, Dr. Pruitt pastored churches in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas, a career that spanned more than 30 years. He is active in the Baptist General Association of Virginia and in his local community and speaks at and leads seminary conferences in India.
He and his wife Terry have three daughters.
Dr. Pruitt received his Doctor of Ministry in Preaching and Theology from Baylor University, Truett Seminary, in Waco, Texas; his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, School of Theology, in Fort Worth, Texas; and his Bachelor of Art in Religious Studies from Charleston Southern University, Charleston, S.C. He also studied for a year in the School of Religious Education at Southwestern Seminary with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling.
