It had been a difficult week at work. You know the kind, full of deadlines, cranky people, and unwanted surprises.
Seems like I get home from work and find that after dinner I have little energy to do anything. It’s strange because on the nights I go straight from work to other activities I just do it.
This past Sunday was “Back to Church Sunday” across the nation. What a great idea. Think about the times when you may have gotten out of the habit of going to church, or moved to a new area and never really found a church.
Last week I wrote about self-control. This week I wanted to share a story which I think is related to the whole self-control issue. Actually I came across it at work when reading about the personality trait of dedication.
So the Drop-In class spent the summer discussing “respectable” sins, ending with self-control. For the most part we understand that having self-control is a good thing.
The Book Bunch gathered for their August book discussion. The topic was “Go Set a Watchman” by Harper Lee. We had just discussed “To Kill a Mockingbird” in June.
