Have you had “the talk” with your children? No, not “that talk”. I mean the one you should be having with your children, family, and friends right now, regularly.
Recently our deacons took a day long retreat. They didn’t go anywhere exotic, and some of us teased them about their “dancing” activity, but the truth is I’m proud of them.
August is a month for mixed emotions. Your young child is about to start a new school year. You are sad their summer break will end, but you are also happy their summer break will end. Just being honest here.
You know the rules. Something goes wrong and you point the finger at someone else. It’s called the “blame game” and it works much like a game.
I’m not a “go with the flow” person. There you have it. I’m a planner, a scheduler, an organized, make a list and check it off person. And I admit, it’s not always a good thing.
It was July 3rd and apparently, I was the only person who had to go to work! The drive in was wonderfully free of traffic. I find these quiet times are often filled with life lessons.
