This is the seventh week of my full time telework arrangement. Not that I am counting the days, mind you! I’m fortunate because our company went to a social distancing plan early on. We knew some people had to go to the office and some of us could work remotely.
I remember hearing adults say, guess he or she will just have to learn the hard way. As a kid, we think we have all the answers, and we don’t really want a grown up to tell us how to do every little thing.
Not having an Easter service at the physical church was hard. But our online worship is a clear illustration of how our congregation loves and respects each other and our community. We care enough to be responsible citizens. We make that sacrifice out of love and concern for others.
It’s so easy in difficult times to focus on ourselves. However, few of us live in isolation from family, friends, and neighbors. Last week we talked about taking care of yourself, but how do you take care of others? Below are a few suggestions for coping with your new normal and their new normal at the same time.
In your wildest dreams, did you ever expect your new normal to look like your life does today? I’m guessing the answer is no. So, below are a few suggestions for coping with your new normal. They won’t all be right for you, but then again be open to try something new.
So, let’s just note the elephant in the room – the coronavirus or COVID19. Wow, did you ever think this is how you would be spending your March? Unforeseen crisis situations happen all the time to people everywhere, but rarely at such a scale.
